Tunnel diggers for bullet trains finally arrive in Mumbai

Two massive Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs), delayed weeks at a Chinese port due to geopolitical issues, have arrived at Mumbai's Jawaharlal Nehru Port. These 13.56m-diameter giants will excavate the 21-km underground section of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train, including a 7-km undersea tunnel under Thane Creek from BKC to Shilphata.
