Turkey refuses docking permission to US ship carrying LGBTQ+ travellers

Turkey has refused permission to an American cruise ship carrying members of the LGBTQ+ community from docking at its ports, citing “moral standards” and “family values”. “It’s pretty stunning...the reasoning behind it is that it’s a gay group,” the CEO of Atlantis Events, which is organising the voyage said. LGBTQ+ community is frequently targeted by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
