Turkey's COVID vaccine Turkovac gets emergency use authorisation

Turkey's domestically developed COVID-19 vaccine Turkovac has received emergency use authorisation, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca has confirmed. The vaccine, that has reportedly shown efficacy against the virus, will be made available for public use by year-end, Koca added. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Turkey will make the shot available globally.
