Turkish comedian Deniz detained at airport for 'insulting' Islam

Turkish stand-up comedian Deniz Goktas was detained upon returning from a holiday at Istanbul International Airport, for allegedly "insulting" Islam and the country's president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Authorities launched a probe after receiving 185 complaints about Deniz's clip. Any insult to either religious beliefs or the head of state has the potential to prompt a criminal probe in Turkey.
