Turkish President Erdogan replaces Finance Minister as Lira plunges
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has appointed Nureddin Nebati as the new Finance Minister amid looming economic crisis. This comes as the Turkish currency, Lira fell by 27% last month making it one of the worst-performing currencies in the world. Earlier, Nebati had lauded Erdogan's drive to slash interest rates. "We're determined to implement it this time," he said.
