Turkiye considering full membership of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation

NATO-member Turkiye is considering pursuing deeper engagement with the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), President Recep Erdogan said. "Turkiye's prospect of (full) ​membership...doesn't imply a breakaway ​from any other ​bloc or from the West," he said. India, Russia, China, Pakistan, Iran, Belarus, Kazakhstan, among others, are part of the bloc.
