Turkiye unveils its first intercontinental ballistic missile

At SAHA Expo 2026 in Istanbul, Türkiye unveiled Yildirimhan, its first Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM), with a range of 6,000 km and hypersonic speeds. Hakan Fidan acknowledged that the ongoing Iran conflict has accelerated Ankara’s push for indigenous weapons development, while Yaşar Güler stated it would be used “without hesitation” if required.
