Turkmenistan President's son likely to win snap presidential election

Serdar Berdimuhamedov, son of Turkmenistan's President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, is likely to win Saturday's snap presidential election. Currently, Deputy Prime Minister, 40-year-old Serdar has been facing token competition from eight other nominal candidates in the vote. In power since 2007, President Berdimuhamedov called the snap election last month paving way for a generation of new leaders.
