Tutor in Navi Mumbai burns student's hand for not revising homework, booked

A private tutor in Navi Mumbai has been booked for allegedly burning an eight-year-old student's hand using a lighter, causing a blister. According to police, 35-year-old Soni Tiwari was furious after she realised that the boy hadn't revised the homework assigned to him on Thursday. "The teacher [later] apologised...and said...her intention was only to warn the boy," police added.
