Twitter deboosting tweets having words like 'gay', 'trans': Report

UK-based research collective Trans Safety Network has accused Twitter of deboosting tweets having words like 'gay', 'trans', 'queer' and 'bisexual', including preventing them from being shown as previews in DMs. The alleged censorship could be bypassed by replacing some letters in the words with symbols or numbers. "We also believe that the word 'sex' is banned," Trans Safety Network said.
