Twitter displays distorted map of India on its website; shows J&K, Ladakh outside India

Microblogging site Twitter has displayed a distorted map of India on its website. The map shows Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh detached from the country. The distorted map was criticised by several social media users. Last year, Twitter's geotagging feature displayed 'Jammu & Kashmir, People's Republic of China' in a live broadcast from Leh's Hall of Fame.
