Twitter lets users apply for blue tick verification after 3 years

Twitter has relaunched its public verification programme, allowing anyone to apply for the blue tick badge, three years after suspending the program. Under the new eligibility criteria, users must have a "notable" and active profile falling under the category of government, sports, entertainment, organisations, journalists or activists. All applications will be evaluated by humans, Twitter said.
