Twitter's new 'Official' label starts appearing on verified accounts in India

Twitter's new 'Official' label began appearing on verified profiles in India on Wednesday. It appeared on the Twitter handles of PM Narendra Modi, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister Amit Shah and others. According to Twitter, government accounts, commercial companies, business partners, major media outlets, publishers and some public figures will get the new 'Official' label.
