Two Indian women develop home composting bin

Two Bengaluru-based entrepreneurs have created a bin which recycles wet and organic waste and separately collects the by-products. The device, developed by Mrinal Rao and Anjana Iyer, is called 'Orbin' and functions by segregating different kinds of waste. By using the appliance, waste from the kitchen and garden can be converted into nutrient-rich compost and liquid manure fertiliser.
