Two-thirds of Australians want fewer immigrants: Survey

Two-thirds of Australians want to cut immigration levels, with 37% saying they want "a lot fewer" migrants and 29% saying they want "fewer" migrants, a Newspoll survey found. Just 6% supported an increase in migration, while 28% wanted immigration levels unchanged. Opposition was strongest among One Nation and Liberal-National Coalition voters, while Labor and Greens voters showed different views.
