Two women duped of ₹4 lakh in fake gas official scam in Thane

Two women in Kalyan-Dombivli were allegedly duped of nearly ₹4 lakh after scammers posing as Mahanagar Gas Limited officials asked them to download a malicious APK file and submit details on their phones. Police registered cases at Dombivli Police Station and launched a probe. The fraud surfaced amid an LPG supply shortage across the Mumbai region.
