As per Hindu Kush Himalaya Assessment, two-thirds of the Himalayan glaciers could melt by 2100 if current rates of global warming and greenhouse gas emissions aren't cut. The Hindu Kush Himalaya region, spread across eight nations, inhabits 240 million people, the report said. Impacts could range from worsened air pollution to increase in extreme weather events, a report editor said.
