UAE partially closes airspace amid tensions in Middle East

UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has announced a temporary, partial closure of the airspace amid tensions in the Middle East, according to the state news agency WAM. The exceptional measure was taken to ensure the safety of flights and safeguard the UAE's territory, GCAA said. The tensions sparked after Israel and the US launched a joint attack on Iran.
