UAE splits plan for large data centre into fragments as Iran targets tech infra: Report

UAE is revising plans for its 5GW AI data centre campus after Iranian attacks prompted a rethink of critical infrastructure, Reuters reported. The 'Stargate UAE' project will become network of data centres across UAE, report added. Earlier in April, Iran warned 'Stargate UAE' was their potential target. The Nvidia- and OpenAI-backed campus will be one of the biggest outside US.
