Uber: 60% increase in fares if Pune drivers' demands are met

Uber has pushed back against striking Pune drivers demanding higher fares, claiming that if the demands are met, then there will be a 60% hike in fare, hurting both drivers and passengers. It condemned alleged violence and intimidation by protesting unions to forcibly disrupt services. Starting today, Ola and Uber drivers have resumed their indefinite strike in Pune.
