Uber embeds AI engineers in teams to redesign workflows

Uber is embedding autonomous AI software engineers directly into business, legal, HR and operational teams as part of its "Agentic Pod" strategy. Uber's CTO Praveen Neppalli Naga stated that AI engineers will observe employees performing daily tasks. The internal AI agents are expected to interact directly with systems to automate routine administrative operations and redesign internal processes.
