Uber in talks with govt for ride-sharing with private cars

Uber is in talks with the government to seek an amendment to the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, to allow ride-sharing using private cars, Uber India's President Amit Jain said. "Commercial licence plate cars are a very small percentage of the overall number of cars," said Jain. The move is said to reduce the number of cars on the roads.
