Uber launches 5MB low-data Lite app, to pilot first in India

Uber has launched a low-data Lite app which is less than 5MB in size, compared to 39MB for its regular app on Android devices. Uber Lite app has a minimal design with a 300-millisecond response time and will function even with poor internet speeds. The app is piloting first in India and will come to other countries later this year.
