Uber paid $100,000 to hide hack that affected 57 mn users

Uber paid $100,000 to hackers, who stole personal data from 57 million accounts last year, to delete the data and keep the breach a secret, the company revealed on Tuesday. Uber also fired its Chief Security Officer and a deputy over the incident. The breach, however, did not reveal users' Social Security Numbers, credit card information or trip details.
