Uber to buy US alcohol delivery startup Drizly for $1.1 billion

Uber will acquire alcohol delivery service Drizly for $1.1 billion in a stock and cash deal. After completion of the transaction, Drizly's marketplace will eventually be integrated with the Uber Eats app, while also maintaining a separate Drizly app. US-based Drizly claims to have partnered with thousands of retailers in over 1,400 cities across the US and Canada.
