Uber to install sensors in cars to advance self-driving tech

Uber CTO Praveen Neppalli Naga said the company plans to equip drivers’ cars with sensors to collect real-world driving data, improving self-driving technology. Speaking at a TechCrunch event, he noted the move will strengthen Uber’s AV (Autonomous Vehicle) Labs, launched last year. Uber is also partnering with 25 such firms to build an “AV cloud” for testing technology using data.
