Uber will be shutting down its operations in Colombia starting February 1 following a court ruling that stated it violated competition rules. The ride-hailing company intends to appeal the ruling which it called "arbitrary" and a violation of its right to due process. Uber stated it has to defend the rights of its 88,000 drivers and two million customers.
