Uber's $59 mn fine over sexual assault data reduced to $150,000 in US

The $59-million fine US' CPUC had handed Uber last year for failing to hand over data on sexual assault incidents on its platform was slashed to $150,000 in a deal between Uber and a CPUC organisation. Uber has agreed to provide anonymised data on sexual assault incidents and give reporting individuals the ability to opt-in to being contacted by CPUC.
