UCC will be implemented in UP if BJP returns to power: Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) will be implemented in Uttar Pradesh if BJP returns to power in the 2027 Assembly elections. He noted that several states, including Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Uttarakhand, have implemented the UCC. The UCC brings a common set of laws governing matters such as marriage, divorce, inheritance and adoption together.
