UDF wrests Vizhinjam ward in closely fought civic poll in Kerala

UDF won two of the three wards where local body elections were earlier postponed following the deaths of candidates. LDF won the Onakkur 10th ward of Piravom Pampakuda grama panchayat. Meanwhile, UDF scored a narrow but politically significant victory in the Vizhinjam ward of the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, with its candidate KH Sudheer Khan winning by a margin of 83 votes.
