UEFA nations to boycott all FIFA competitions to protest World Cup private equity plan

UEFA's 55 member associations have unanimously agreed to boycott FIFA competitions if FIFA President Gianni Infantino proceeds with plans to sell a minority stake in a new company holding commercial rights to tournaments, including World Cup. FIFA aims to raise $4.2 billion by selling over 20% of the $20-billion venture to private investors. UEFA demanded the proposal be withdrawn entirely.
