UGC proposes to merge NEET, JEE exams into Common University Entrance Test

UGC Chairman Professor M Jagadesh Kumar said the Commission has proposed to merge the medical/dental entrance exam NEET and engineering entrance exam JEE into the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The proposal's aim is to not subject students to the "stress" of multiple entrance tests based on the same knowledge base, the Times of India quoted Kumar as saying.
