UIDAI to phase out mAadhaar app, launches new Aadhaar app

UIDAI said the existing mAadhaar app will soon be discontinued, with users being asked to shift to the new Aadhaar app. The updated app offers QR-based Aadhaar sharing, face authentication, offline verification and biometric lock controls. Users will have to manually set up their Aadhaar profile again, as data from the older app will not transfer automatically.
