UK chipmaker Arm to face US antitrust probe over tech licensing: Report

UK-based chipmaker Arm faces an antitrust probe ‌by US Federal Trade Commission over licensing of semiconductor technology, Bloomberg reported. The commission is investigating whether Arm attempts to illegally monopolise ​parts of semiconductor market, and whether it will reject or downgrade licensing of chip blueprints. This comes after Qualcomm ​and Arm's dispute over alleged contract breach.
