UK deploys warship HMS Dragon to protect ships in Strait of Hormuz

Britain is deploying its warship HMS Dragon to the Middle East to protect shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, its Ministry of Defence said. "This will ensure UK is ready as part of a multinational coalition [with] France...to secure the Strait, when conditions allow," a Defence Ministry spokesman said. The air defence destroyer warship was earlier deployed near Cyprus.
