UK fines Apple arm ₹4.85 crore over breach of sanctions on Russia

The UK on Monday said it has issued a fine worth £390,000 (₹4.85 crore) to an Ireland-based subsidiary of Apple for a breach of its sanctions on Russia. The British Government said the subsidiary Apple Distribution International (ADI) had made payments to a Russian streaming platform in 2022. Apple said that it takes sanctions compliance "extremely seriously".
