UK King and Queen will not live at Buckingham Palace after its renovation

King Charles III has decided not to move into Buckingham Palace once its refurbishment is completed in 2027. The decision has reportedly been taken to allow greater public access to the landmark. However, the palace will continue to be used for hosting state banquets and garden parties. Buckingham Palace has served as official London residence of UK sovereign since 1837.
