UK launches app to track and eradicate Asian insect

UK's Centre for Ecology and Hydrology has released a smartphone app designed to prevent the spread of an Asian-origin wasp. The authorities said that the Asian Hornet could pose a "threat" to UK's honeybees, and so early detection using public help is important to eradicate the non-native species. The app provides an insect identification guide for recording the species' sightings.
