UK officially declares drought in large parts of England

Large parts of England were officially declared drought-hit on Friday, amid prolonged heatwave conditions in the country. The affected regions include all of east England and parts of south and central England. "We are currently experiencing a second heatwave after what was the driest July on record for parts of the country," said UK Water Minister Steve Double.
