UK-based professor David Nutt claims to have created 'alcosynth', an alcohol that does not have negative effects like hangovers, nausea and dry mouth, while maintaining 'the positive qualities'. Nutt said that he has patented around 90 different 'alcosynth' compounds. He added that 'alcosynths', some of which "go very nicely into mojitos", could completely replace normal alcohol by 2050.
