UK set to face another heatwave next week; temp may reach 36°C

The UK is set to face intense heat in the coming week, with temperatures expected to reach 36°C. A yellow heat-health alert was issued at 9am on Saturday, covering most of England. Two record-breaking heatwaves in May and June have already claimed more than 2,700 lives, while two further heatwaves in July fuelled drought and wildfires across the country.
