UK signs deal with GSK, Sanofi for 60 million COVID-19 vaccine doses
The UK government has signed a deal with GlaxoSmithKline and Sanofi Pasteur for 60 million doses of a potential COVID-19 vaccine. Human clinical trials of the vaccine will begin in September this year. If the vaccine proves successful, then health and social care workers could be given the first doses by the first half of 2021, the government said.
