UK surgeon admits marking his initials on 2 patients' organs
A renowned UK-based surgeon has pleaded guilty to marking his initials on the livers of two patients while performing transplant surgery. The 53-year-old used an argon beam, used to stop bleeding and highlight surgery areas, to sign his initials onto the patients' organs. The surgeon was suspended in 2013 after his colleague spotted the initials 'SB' in a follow-up surgery.
