UK to deploy RAF Typhoon jets to protect Saudi Arabia from Houthi attacks

The UK said it would deploy fighter jets to help Saudi Arabia amid Houthi attacks. Defence Minister Wes Streeting said RAF Typhoons would conduct defensive air missions to protect Saudi airspace from drones and missiles. The aircraft would operate strictly in a defensive role and would not carry out offensive strikes against the Iran-aligned Houthis, he added.
