UK to evacuate citizens from war-torn Lebanon via chartered flight

A UK government-chartered flight will fly out British nationals wanting to leave Lebanon following escalating violence on Wednesday. "Vulnerable British nationals and their...partner and children under age of 18, will be prioritised for...flight," authorities said, adding that the flight would depart from Beirut. Meanwhile, 700 British troops have been deployed to Cyprus for contingency measures.
