UK to investigate 'economic impact' of music streaming on artists

The UK's Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee has launched an enquiry into the "economic impact" of music streaming on artists and record labels. Despite generating a revenue of £1 billion, artists are paid as little as 13% of it, the Committee said. It will look at the business models of streaming platforms like Spotify, Amazon Music and Apple Music.
