UK universities spent ₹5.5 cr to track pro-Palestine students' activity: Report

Twelve UK universities paid £440,000 (₹5.5 crore) to private intelligence firm Horus Security Consultancy to track student protests and academics, including pro-Palestine voices, a joint investigation by Al Jazeera English and Liberty Investigates found. The firm collected social media data on protest activity, student posts, and assessed "risks" linked to guest speakers and campus events.
