UK urges all immigrants, including Indians, to transition to eVisa

In a bid to digitise immigration system, UK government is encouraging all immigrants, including Indians, to switch to eVisas. Accordingly, by next year, those using physical documents like biometric residence permits (BRP) or visa vignette stickers will switch to online system. Indian students in September 2024 or January 2025 intakes may still receive BRP but will be contacted to transition.
