UK watchdog fines Deloitte £900,000 over SIG audit

Britain's accounting watchdog Financial Reporting Council (FRC) said it had fined Deloitte LLP around £900,000 over its audits of building materials supplier SIG plc for the 2015 and 2016 financial years. The initial penalty of £1.25 million was reduced to £906,250 after Deloitte admitted breaches over its work on SIG's financial statements.
