Ukraine admits to losing 3rd F-16 jet in fight with Russia

Ukraine lost a third US-designed F-16 fighter jet as it was repelling a Russian strike, the Air Force said on Friday. It also indicated that the crash didn't appear to be because of a Russian strike but was due to an unusual situation that arose onboard. First F-16 was lost in 2024 during Russian attack, and second in April 2025.
